ANDY

Over the past 14 years Andy’s enthusiasm and passion for capturing Landscapes and Seascapes has grown. he came to photography from a background of painting and pen an ink drawing, and using a camera for reference images. With failing eyesight he decided to concentrate on photography instead. His artistic background shows in the images he creates.

Sunrise is his favourite time of day to shoot. The golden light that follows, make watching the day come to life special. The Lake District with its spectacular scenery is the place he feels most at home.

Andy has been a NiSi user for the past 2 years.

” I use a Nikon D90 and nearly always a Nikon 18-105 lens. It isn’t anything fancy but I find it is all I need to convey the mood I want. Nisi really has helped me to capture the scene in one image with such good clarity and tone”.

Capturing the early morning colour, the mood and light, is her favourite time of day, being equally at home by a lake or on a beach for sunrise or sunset. Andy says she is the first to set up and the last one to pack her gear away.

“I always wanted to do something creative and love the outdoors so it seemed the logical thing to do, and I give Andy a run for his money.”
